NEW! Exclusive Pathfinder Tales story!

Join Zae, Keren, and Appleslayer again…for a great cause!

Paizo has a new Humble Bundle out, and it’s a Pathfinder Second Edition BUNDLE OF FROGS! I was thrilled to be invited to write an all-new, exclusive story for this bundle, and it features Keren, Zae, and their trusty companion Appleslayer. And also, you guessed it, frogs.

Well, technically boggards, which are terrifying demon-worshiping frog-creatures. But who’s counting?

This bundle benefits CERF+, which is a great charity. Founded in 1985, CERF+ provides craft artists with support and resources for disaster and emergency relief, education programs, and readiness grants to strengthen preparedness. Committing to generosity, inclusion, and care, the organization advocates for the thrive-ability of craft artists and craft as an art form. Learn more about CERF+ at their website, www.cerfplus.org, or on Instagram (@cerfplus), Facebook (@CERFplus), and LinkedIn (CERF+).

You can have my story and a bunch more exciting content for as little as $5. It’s a story you won’t find anywhere else, and for a great cause.

From the Bundle blurb:

A Humble Bundle exclusive!

The Knights of Lastwall, defeated by the Whispering Tyrant and dispersed far and wide to rebuild their order, are desperate for any item of power they can use to retake the Gravelands from the undead. Thus Knight of Ozem Keren and her gnome partner Zae venture into the swamps of the River Kingdoms in search of one such relic, lost on the journey downriver from Mendev. What terrors await them in the bog, and will they survive to retrieve their quarry?

From Author Gabrielle Harbowy (Gears of Faith) comes a new tale of the fan-favorite heroines (and their loyal riding dog companion, Appleslayer) set in Pathfinder’s exciting and perilous Lost Omens setting.

New Story Time!

Very pleased to announce that my story “All the Light in the Room” is now available in the anthology Interdimensions Vol. 1: 2024 (a GenCon Writers Symposium Anthology) from Atthis Arts, edited by Toiya Kristen Finley.

You can click on the cover image (or click: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DD7CGG59/) to go to Amazon and give it a peek!

New Client Dance: Hailey Spencer

I’m so pleased to announce, Marisa Corvisiero and I have co-signed Hailey Spencer for representation! Hailey (IG: @outofloveinspring, haileyspencerwrites.com) has written a brilliant and gorgeously dark fantasy/horror fairytale retelling that I fell in love with at first sight. I’m very excited to be able to help her share her talent with the world!

PhiladelphiaStories Pitch Fest Coming Soon

I’m pleased to share that I’ve been invited to participate in PhiladelphiaStories Pitch Fest. You can reserve a spot to pitch an agent online — not just me — on June 30, at this link: https://philadelphiastories.org/june-2024-pitch-fest/.

If you’re a querying author with a complete manuscript, please come and check it out!

Virtual Can*Con 2024

I’m so pleased to participate in Can*Con Online — it’s one of my favorite conventions, and this year I can be a small part of it without the travel to Ottawa (though being in Ottawa is one of my favorite parts, too!).

You can register at https://can-con.org/cancon-virtual/ to attend this panel and a whole day of exciting literary programming!

A Title Appears From the Mists…

My D&D Adventurers League Ravenloft adventure has been released with its official title, which means I can now share its official title. Presenting… “Calling Upon the Dead,” in which

“a séance among friends new and old leads the investigation somewhere deeper and darker than ever before. Conjuring the restless spirits of slain adventurers, you rely on them to guide you to the next piece of the puzzle.”

Sale: Fantasy Magazine!

I’m excited to announce that I’ve made my first pro magazine sale, with the story “The Dybbuk Ward” to FANTASY MAGAZINE. It will publish in the March 2022 issue, available online or by subscription.

This is a very personal own-voices story about mental illness, Judaism, and unfinished business. I’m eager to share it with you, and grateful to FANTASY for picking it up.

Check out their current issue for other excellent stories.

Aether’s Pawn available for preorder now!

I started my career as an editor at Dragon Moon Press, and I’m thrilled to be returning there as an author. It means a lot to me, to be reprinting my first novel (formerly HELLMAW: OF THE ESSENCE) with my first publisher.

Gwen Gades of Dragon Moon Press designed this gorgeous new cover, and Tamsyn Muir’s blurb has me over the moon!

The e-book is available for preorder now at Amazon (which apparently doesn’t want to let you preorder a hardcover), and the print edition will be on sale there and at other vendors starting February 28, 2022.

This has been a long and wonderful journey, and if you notice from the “Book 1” up there, it’s not over. I invite you to come along with me, and Quills, for a hell of a ride.
