“Keren is a sworn knight of Iomedae, proper and disciplined in every way. Her partner, Zae, is the opposite—a curious gnome priestess of the clockwork goddess, who loves nothing more than the chaos of her makeshift hospitals. When a powerful evil artifact is stolen from a crusader stronghold, both knight and gnome are sent to the great city of Absalom and immediately drawn into the clandestine search for the stolen Bloodstone. Sure, they may not be the most powerful or experienced members of their organizations, but that’s the whole point—with legendary champions and undead graveknights battling in their race to recover the stone, who’ll notice one young knight and a gnome healer? All they have to do is stay alive long enough to outsmart a thief capable of evading both gods and heroes. No big deal, right?
From author Gabrielle Harbowy comes a novel of love, faith, and undead espionage, set in the award-winning world of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game.”
My book is finally here, and it is beautiful. I’ve been waiting a long time for this, and I know some of you have, too!
There is a lack of polyamory-positive books for teens on the shelves today, and HEARTS ARE JERKS addresses that.
Sixteen-year-old Alicía Diaz’s parents have been in a stable, nurturing polyamorous relationship all her life, so and dating both a boy and a girl in high school doesn’t seem like a big deal to her.
When Allie crashes the car during an impromptu driving lesson, there’ll be no more driving for her until it’s paid in full. Her love life crashes next: she finds out her girlfriend is moving away, and that she told her new boyfriend before telling Allie.
She’s determined to handle it all on her own, but then other kids start harassing her to the point of threatening her summer job – the one she really needs to pay off her accident. Allie doesn’t know how she’s going to make everything work. But she knows she has to stay true to herself.
Available soon on Amazon in paperback and ebook. Also coming soon to other retailers.
I’m pleased to announce that my D&D Adventurers League adventure, FORGE OF FANGS (DDAL 08-15) is now available for purchase at the DM’s Guild website. You can get the PDF, for hours of fun, for a mere $4.99.
I’ll be running this adventure for the first time at the upcoming Bookwyrm Gaming Convention, coming to Woodward Park Library in Fresno, CA the weekend of April 6-7, 2019.
My contact info is on the main page of the blog if you’d like to chat about having me come out and run this adventure for your organization or convention. 🙂
I’ve been a D&D player since Mr. Lawrence, my third-grade teacher, introduced us to the game in class. I’m over the moon to have the chance to officially be a part of the world and its lore.
If you play it, please drop me a line and tell me about it!
I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve signed on with Wizards of the Coast to write an adventure for the Dungeons and Dragons Adventurers League!
I can’t share much at this time, but:
- I’m really excited to have the chance to be cruel to a whole new audience of players!
- I’ll share more news here on my website as I can.
- As with my Pathfinder PFS scenario, I’ll be happy to run it for your gaming group / convention if you help me get to you.
Additionally, for those who got here through my newsletter and were promised that they could “find out more” at this link:
- The adventure will be available in PDF format at the Dungeon Masters Guild.
- It will probably involve humanoids and/or monsters, and at least one quest.
- I’ll be working with some very talented designers.
- If you print out the adventure, I’ll be happy to sign it for you.
- EEEEEE, I’M WRITING FOR D&D! My inner 8-year-old, who first learned D&D in Mr. Lawrence’s 3rd grade class, is bouncing off the walls. 🙂

A while back, I wrote a mythological/historical fantasy story for an anthology called The Bard’s Tale: Stories and Recipes from the Black Dragon Inn, about one of the Fates and her interaction with a very special young girl.
That story is now available as a reprint on Curious Fictions, along with a lot of other great short stories by a lot of great authors. You can read for free, or opt in to support the site or specific authors. I hope you’ll go take a look.
(Of course, if you want to see the recipe that goes with the story, or the gorgeous story art by David Szilagyi, you’ll still have to buy the anthology. I recommend it.)
I’m pleased to announce that my story “Cold Comfort” will be appearing in FIRE: DEMONS, DRAGONS AND DJINN from Tyche Books, edited by Rhonda Parrish. More info and full Table of Contents at the link!
Look for it this August — an appropriate month for fire themes.
Cover Reveal: OF THE ESSENCE at the Onder Librum website.
Meet Quills: she’s a daemon with an affinity for ink, and her medium is magical tattoos.
When a powerful daemon is killed on modern-day Earth, all signs point to his nemesis, a daemon named Tehru. But Tehru knows that at least one other daemon has access to her unique power: Quills, who takes life essence in payment for her work. Now the murdered daemon’s followers are coming after Tehru for retribution. Quills has five days to find the murderer and clear Tehru’s name. If she doesn’t succeed in time, Quills will be the one who takes the fall.
My debut novel will be on sale April 30, 2016. It will be in audio (narrated by the amazing Angela Dawe!), hardcover, trade paperback, and ebook formats. Some of those formats may take longer than others to propagate on Amazon and the Onder Librum site, so please be patient. I think the audio CD is the only thing up on Amazon for preorder at this point, but please keep checking back.
The art is by Hellmaw Art Director Eric Belisle. I saw this portrait and knew right away that this daemon had a story I could tell. I’m excited to be the first Hellmaw author with a Daemon of Color, the first story to take place outside of North America, and the first Hellmaw novel told through the daemon’s first person point of view.
Dragon Moon Press is trying out a service called Thunderclap for promoting upcoming releases. I learned more about it this weekend from author Ryan McFadden, whose debut novel is launching November 15.
Basically, you follow the link, sign up, and donate one tweet, Facebook post, or Tumblr post. You get to see the text of the message you’ll be hosting, and when it will post. A certain bottom threshold of people have to sign up to get involved, but if that minimum is reached, then at a specific time on a specific day, Thunderclap will release those messages all at once. The theory is that a concentrated blast of announcements all over social media will gather more support than a trickle of individual messages. As an added bonus, it saves you from having to remember when to post about a thing you already know you want to post about.
You can sign up multiple times, to promote a post on more than one social media stream, if you want to!
Sound like something you’re up for?
